Crocodiles from the bridge
A short drive from the hostel, the Tárcoles bridge is famous for its giant crocodiles.

Visit Costa Rica describes crocodiles up to 3 m long, visible from the bridge, and notes that boat tours run down the river to its mouth — a good spot for herons, monkeys and sloths too.
Boat tours are run by local operators, not by the hostel. Ask the front desk for help planning your trip.
Good for anyone curious about wildlife. Viewing from the bridge needs no tour.
